It's just a House, not Yet a Home

Dearies,

Whenever someone ask me "How do you find Chennai?"
(..I'm not that stupid to answer "on GoogleMaps!!" I will always answer "..lovin it each day.. :)", well, with a smile anybody can tell it's plastic.

I just had my very first dental treatment last saturday.. after so many years. I dun wanna tell u the ugly details. Up to now, I'm suffering this extreme sensitivity even if i gargle for wudu. But the results.. hmm.. confident smiles and brighter teeth. Disebabkan I have this gigi songsang.. the dentist asked me to consider putting on braces and cabut that gigi pemanis wajahku itu..

hmm.. mungkinkah uglybetty 2 tahun??? mungkinkah? oh tak mungkiiiiinn..

I must tell u that I miss blogwriting and blogreading. Nak tulis dengan gaya sesuai juga.. diriku ini sudah teraba-raba. Begitu lama tak menulis dengan gaya bersahaja. Asik kena wat surat formal ngan report je... huhu..

Keciritanku masih berlaku sekali sekala. dah kurus sikit.. walau perutku masih enggan menunjukkan kesan signifikan untuk pengurangan saiz kadar eksponen.

Alhamdulillah jua, sekarang ni urusan mendapatkan kediaman telah 99% selesai.. yes.. I am about to move in to my apartment. Kool. Well, property rent in Chennai sangatlah mahal.. especially biler dia tahu kita ni foreigner. This one I chose is not just for house, but because of the owner too. Dia penah keja kat Singapore and he knows at least what kind of expectation for a house I need. For furniture rentals, I have full access of choosing the items i want. Super kool. Datangla Chennai.. Greenbox dah bukak kat sini.. hehehe..

My personal effects arrived at the house today. 29 boxes jer. Other people brought sampai beratus2 kotak. Well, i can sense that it will be at least 10 times more when I am going back to Malaysia after 3 years.. looking at the way I have been doing my retail therapy so far. Rebecca Bloomwood takes Chennai.. hohoho

But no matter what I do and how much i tried to deny it.. I am missing Malaysia so dearly. I may have a great apartment, but then it's just a house.. not a home.

Bakr Eid

Sebut Raya Haji owang Chennai tak paham.. they call it BakrEid.

I never really have the thoughts and feelings about missing this particular festive event of Raya Haji.. until this morning my brother called all the way from Kota Tinggi. They gathered for the feast and celebrate with the presence of each other..

..without me.

uh. tetiba mata bergenang bila mak sebut dia masak kuah lodeh ngan kuah kacang ngan ayam masak merah.

Selamat Hari Raya. Kami di Chennai cutinye esok. Nak jek Kak Wan mintak dia wat kuah lodeh ngan ayam masak merah jugak... huhu

Banjir di Chennai, Pengganas di Mumbai

.. dan aku sedang tercungap-cungap menjengah ceruk rantau Karnataka di antara dua lokasi penuh tragedi ni. Di Utara meletup, di Timur tenggelam.

Syukur Alhamdulillah, pada kejadian berdarah di Mumbai tu tengah meletup-letup, aku tengah melawat warga Malaysia, adik-adik bakal doktor perubatan dan pergigian di kawasan lain. Adik-adik semuanya selamat.. takde diberitakan barang seorang pun dimangsakan dalam Tragedi November itu.

Entah kenapa Mumbai berdarah, barangkali merajuk kerana aku tak sudi melawat tanahnya.
Entah kenapa Chennai menangis, barangkali pilu aku tinggalkan hiruk pikuk jalan rayanya.

Di Mysore, lokasi terakhir lawatan aku kali ini, aku diserang frekuensi lawatan yang kerap ke bilik air. Apa mungkin juga Bangalore tak sudi aku singgah lama menghirup udara kotanya, atau Dharwad yang mahukan aku terkulai menggagah tugas. Sudahnya 3 kali aku merenung pintu tandas dengan dahi terkerut-kerut menghalau kuman dengan proses penyahtinjaan, dan menatap lubang buangan itu termuntah-muntah sampai terasa perut senak menyesak dada. Atas, bawah, semua mahu keluar. Sengsaranya bila makanan tak terselera nak dijamah..

Taufan Nisha yang mengganas di Selatan India.. bukan setakat autorickhaw tenggelam, bas pun dah sampai paras bumbung.. berpuluh2 kematian, beribu-ribu rakyatnya kerugian.. dan pejabat aku juga operasinya tergendala dek taufan. Nakal juga si Nisha ni bila dia menjadi taufan..

Hari ni, selesai sudah rawatan keracunan makanan aku. Dah dicabut pun paip-paip halus dan injap dari tertanam di celah kulit. Dah lega.. lepas 4 dos antibiotik masuk berkampit-kampit ke salur darah di lengan kiri. Dalam kene rawatan tu sempat juga menjenguk pejabat yang lencun petang tadi. Nisha.. nisha.. haduihh.. dugaan sungguh!

Chennai - Bangalore - Mangalore - Manipal - Mangalore

Ok.. itu baru 20-23 November.

Dah hampir pitam..

but it felt great to meet the students around here and get feedbacks about their studies and life here in India.

I must say that those who are in Manipal are very fortunate, the facilities are huge and very well-maintained. Have also got the chance to talk to the top officers of the institutions and further discussion will definitely be carried out after this to clear some clouds.

It's hard to explain and compare.. each institution in various locations is barely different. I am so glad to have this experience to understand the situation.

And most of all to get to know this incredible country which i found interestingly unique and the people is brilliant, whereby things are understood without further, lengthy explanations.

More places coming up - Davangere, Belgaum, Hubli (Dharwad), Bangalore, and Mysore. All places to be visited, to be completed by end of this month.

Insanely interesting, but exhausting.

I can hardly breath and digest all info I have got so far.. haha

Jelajah Karnataka

Hi..

been quite occupied eversince 2 weeks ago.. balik jer dari Kolar tuh terus ada mesyuarat yang agak besar jugalah.. dengan semangat Konsep Organisasi Bersepadu, mesyuarat dilaksanakan dengan penuh jaya.

• carik rumah.. alhamdulillah dah finalize..
• Pejabat dah makin lengkap. Fax, copier, printer dah install.. PC pun dah sampai
• trip 10 hari jelajah Karnataka... huhu.. sangat adventure.. ni nak gerak dah nie.. babai!!!
